Myrrh, Commiphora Molmol – Somalia

Myrrh is a tree resin that has been used and valued since ancient times for its medicinal, cosmetic, aromatic and spiritual applications. In Christianity, Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh were the gifts given to the baby Jesus by the three wise men.

Myrrh Essential Oil is used most often for spiritual ceremonies as an incense and it is heralded for its contribution to oral health. You can find toothpastes, mouth rinses and other natural oral care products that contain Myrrh Essential Oil and/or the powderized resin.

Myrrh Oil is steam distilled directly from myrrh resin. Myrrh Essential Oil smells more pleasant than the resin, but I still find the aroma of the oil to be a bit harsh on its own. The aroma of Frankincense Oil helps to round out and freshen the aroma Myrrh Essential Oil. The aroma is woody, earthy and a bit balsamic. It is a wonderful base note to include in blends intended for spiritual and meditative activities.

Emotionally, Myrrh Oil is grounding and helps to mellow out the emotions.

Cedarwood, Atlas, Cedrus Atlantica – United States

100% pure and natural oil, distilled from the wings of the tree.

Excellent for balancing fluids in the body especially fluid retention.

It is a powerful essential oil, astringent and tonic, to be used diluted in a suitable vegetable oil (jojoba, coconut etc)

Ideal when blended with white pine and black spruce.

Eucalyptus Officinalis, Radiata – Australia

Adrenals: Blue Spruce, Canadian Tsuga, Larch

Symptoms of overworked adrenals are: bad digestion, stress, dizziness, water retentions, hand and foot swelling, and difficulty walking up stairs without getting out of breath. This blend feeds the adrenal glands, help raise energy level and can even decrease an overactive appetite.

Apply 2-3 drops to adrenal glands (on the back just above the waist) and the soles of the feet.

Light of God: Verbena, lemongrass, Rosemary, Rosewood, Neroli

Could be a blessing, or a protection. Neroli symbolizes purity.

Put 2 to 3 drops in hands, rub them together, inhale blend deeply, brush all of aura, then touch your heart.

Chakra 7 (Crown): White Pine, Laurel, Frankincense

Crown Chakra  is represented by the color Violet. Located at the top of the head, symbolizes spiritual enlightenment, divine wisdom, and a deep sense of connection to the universe.

Personal identification with Infinite. Oneness with God, Peace and Wisdom.

Apply 1-2 drops in your palms and rub them together. Place your hands in front of your face and inhale. Apply 1-2 drops to 7th chakra.

Connecting and honoring the inner Buddha. It is very helpful to remind us of who we are and our true nature. It helps anchor the Beam of Oneness and Compassion. Budda comes in different ways as love, forgiveness, peace, harmony and serenity.

Apply 2 drops to palm of your hands and inhale. Also, lovely to diffuse or use it as a perfume.
