Excellent to purify the air, bring a forest into your home if you diffuse it. To get rid of mold in a basement, add some Arborvitae. you can also put a drop in your dryer. A favorite of Mikael’s.

Pineal: Balsam Fir, Myrtle, White Spruce, Canadian Tsuga, Clary Sage

To support the pineal gland, often associated with regulating sleep cycles, hormonal balance, and spiritual insight. This blend helps promote relaxation, mental clarity, and a deeper connection with one’s inner self.

When non-activated, the pineal gland will lock us in the third dimension. But when activated, it opens us to other dimensions which become more real than our 3D and our physical plane. Thus it modifies our awareness of time and space. It is an often forgotten gland that allows us to function in our daily life. If it shuts down, we may develop disease. Apply to the third eye area (center of the forehead) and the base of the skull to promote a deeper connection with the pineal gland.

Massage onto the soles of the feet, especially the big toes, which correspond to the pineal gland in reflexology.

Endocrine: Balsam fir, Ravintsara, Cinnamon

The endocrine system is a series of glands that secrete chemical messages, called hormones. It is another communication system (like the nervous system), but it uses chemicals to communicate. As you age, you may notice your endocrine system starts to slow down. Your hormones don’t seem to work as well. Some signs of this are fatigue, slow and steady weight gain, difficult weight loss, slower thinking, and hot flashes. Your hormones can easily become disrupted and confused by diets, synthetic hormones added to our food supply and environmental toxins. Synthetic estrogen and growth hormones given to cattle, chicken and even farm raised fish to increase their weight can have powerfully negative effects on human hormones and glands. Arborvitae, Thuya Occidentalis – Canada = Tree of Life huja (pron.: /ˈθjuːdʒə/ THEW-jə) is a genus of coniferous trees in the Cupressaceae (cypress family). There are five species in the genus, two native to North America and three native to eastern Asia.The genus is monophyletic and sister to Thujopsis.

They are commonly known as arborvitaes (from Latin for tree of life) or thujas; several species are widely known as cedar but because they are not true cedars (Cedrus) it has been recommended to call them redcedars or whitecedars. [Wikipedia]

Medicinal Uses

Oil of Thuja contains the terpene thujone which has been studied for its GABA receptor antagonistic, with potentially lethal properties.

The natives of Canada used the needles of Thuja occidentalis (Eastern White Cedar) to make a tea that has been shown to contain 50 mg of vitamin C per 100 grams; this helped prevent and treat scurvy.

In the 19th century Thuja was commonly used as an externally applied tincture or ointment for the treatment of warts, ringworm and thrush, and a local injection of the tincture was used for treating venereal warts.
