Q: Can you recommend a blend for Urinary tract infection?

Q: What is the difference between your diffusers? NEW!
MZ: We carry two types. The white one is a motor diffusing with a control knob (so it can easily cover large surfaces) No tubes either one. The wood look type -either octogonal or triangular– are based on a microchip which is more sophisticated, with an automatic shut off after 2 hours, blinking lights etc. It is more elegant and will do great for smaller rooms (bedroom, massage etc).

Q: What is the difference between Essential Oils and Aromatic Essences?  NEW!
MZ: I decided to rename Essential Oils because it is NOT an oil, it is an essence extracted from the plant – tree, flowers, twigs etc. For anything to be called an oil, it must include fatty acids in its makeup. E.O.s do not contain any fatty acids. . So to avoid the confusion, I now call them AROMATIC ESSENCES (A.E.) which is proper.

Q: How do the Aromatic Essences work?
MZ: The olfactory nerves are connected directly to the brain, including the hypothalamus  so it has a direct effect on our autonomous nervous and endocrine systems. Plants are living beings, and Aromatic Essences are a wonderful way for them  to communicate with us on all levels:  body, mind and spirit. It was discovered by the ancients thousands of years ago. See this article on the distilling equipment found in Cyprus 4,000 years ago! http://celticspirit117.blogspot.com/2007/03/ancient-perfume-found-on-venus-island.html
or <http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/em/fr/-/2/hi/middle_east/8505251.stm >

Q: What are Aromatic Essences good for?
MZ: Dr Mercola says it very well: “All Aromatic Essences have some anti-microbial properties. However, they differ from synthetic drugs in that they seem to have the ability to differentiate between helpful bacteria (those which aid our digestion) and harmful bacteria (those which make us sick). In addition, viruses and bacteria cannot become resistant to therapeutic-grade Aromatic Essences because every single plant is unique according to the particular growing conditions, the harvesting, and the distillation.

Q: If most of the virus infections, sicknesses are due to a lack of oxygen in our blood, how can Aromatic Essences help?
MZ: The best are Red Pine (Pinus Resinosa), White Pine (Pinus Strobus), and of course also Balsam Fir, Canadian Tsuga, White Spruce, Lavender etc.    I also created a blend of aromatic essences that most helpful in VIRUS Out.

Q: Which Aromatic Essences act as a natural ANTIBIOTIC?
MZ: I like  THYME a lot, because it acts fast, but you absolutely have to dilute it, or take a teaspoon full of honey in which you mix 1 drop of Thyme, very rich in phenol. But most of the firs are also good antibiotic: Black Spruce, Balsam Fir, ArborVitae etc..  You can use our blend of CONIFER.

Q: What do you recommend for eliminating FUNGUS?
MZ: Oregano is very strong on bacteria  but on fungus ArborVitae (Thuya) is better. Sometimes  Common Tansy is more adequate. Don’t forget that cotton socks can keep humidity on the skin and retransmit fungus spores back to the toe nail. Mohair wool is  very much indicated to maintain humidity at its lowest (We carry some. Ask us). You can also put 8 to 10 drops of  Fungus Out in your shoes.

Q: You do not seem to be a big fan of OREGANO. Why?
MZ: Oregano is good for its phenol content, but I prefer to use Marjoram. Oregano should be used with great caution because it is dermo caustic (skin sensitive).  Take a drop on a lump of sugar or with some honey.

Q: In your magician bag, do you have something for SCIATICA?
MZ: Use our PAIN Ease. Add some Tarragon which is also good for SCIATICA — as well as Basil as they are good antiseptic too.

Q: What is the best way to use an Aromatic Essence for fast relief?
MZ: If the essence is not dermo caustic (skin sensitive) like Thyme, Oregano, Cinnamon, Bergamot etc.. the skin would be the best way to use a drop and rub it on the wrist to test the essences as it is a pulse point. Veins go through there, so it goes immediately into your blood. Or use any other pulse points like inside your elbow, the sides of your neck. For more, read my interview.

Q: HOW MANY Aromatic Essences at once can I take safely?
MZ: For blends, I recommend to take 3 at a time. It is best to space the oils. But you can use them throughout the day – in moderation.

Q: If you do not like an essence, what does it mean? For ex. I have a hard time with your wonderful peppermint!
MZ: If you do not like an essence, try another one. In your case, you may be already hyper, that is why pure peppermint is too strong for you. Try it with other essences, like Energy, Spinal Cleanse, Nausea, or Sinus.

Q: What is the difference between a natural oil and a synthetic one?
MZ: True natural Aromatic Essence will help you recover or maintain your health. On the other hand, the ones manufactured from chemically reconstructed molecules, using petroleum products etc… smell very strong and last for a long time. I am talking about peach/apple/lilac/lily of the Valley/gardenia/magnolia /honeysuckle are NOT NATURAL. Even lotus goes into that category as I have yet to see someone distilling some. They can destroy your sense of smell permanently.

Q: Please describe the benefits of Lavender for us.
MZ: Lavendula Vera from Provence is a universal essence which will soothe any discomfort you experience. If it is a headache, put a drop on your temples, if you are stressed, tense or suffer from insomnia, breathe some in or put it in a diffuser. In case of burns, rashes, it will calm the pain immediately. It is also good for muscle cramps and heart irregularity. Whenever you want to feel clean, relax, calm, or when your kids have too much energy, reach for Lavender. Put it on the feet, in a diffuser, on a handkerchief, or make a compress and put it on your forehead, etc.. See our brochure for the differences between the 5 types we carry. (page 31 & 32).

Q: And another favorite of yours, Canadian Tsuga?
MZ: Yes I love Canadian Tsuga. I use it a lot as it helps people breathe better, sleep, adjust to new surroundings (including jet lags), avoid fear, bring harmony, fight disease. Many good results have been reported to help dying persons make their transitions in peace as it opens subtle doors. Good for mental fixation… Use on the feet, 5th chakra.

Q: Are your blends of Pineal, Pituitary and Thymus and/or the Endocrine System help stimulate these glands?
MZ: Absolutely. These synergy essences have proven very helpful to stimulate the glands. We are also doing tests with those for Alzheimer’s, MS, Parkinson etc. Also you can read the article on Spiritual Endocrine system by Archangel Michael on the website.

Q: What oil would you recommend for super-active children, the ones suffering from ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder)?
MZ: Lavender comes to mind., but you can also try Relax, Stress Out, Beam of Light, Children of the Sun, Balance, Healing…… For children, just remember to dilute them. Put 10% to 20% in a massage oil.

Q: And for the elderly?
MZ: For relaxation, use Lavender, Relax, Peace, Sleep Well. Give them a foot massage with Pachamama, and use FUNGUS under the toenails if they have any. If they suffer from Bed Sore, use our St John’s Wort. And to help them with a peaceful transition, give them some Canadian Tsuga (or any of my products that carries it).

Q: I saw you last time with your own deodorant! What did you put in it?
MZ: Like every other synergies, I used pure A.E.: Lavender, Balsam Fir, Clary Sage, Rosewood, Orange leaf, Peppermint & Cypress. Try it, it is available.

Q: What is the difference between a floral water, a hydrolat and a hydrosol?
MZ:Floral waters are a generic name for hydrolat and hydrosol. It is a precious by-product of the steam distillation of Aromatic Essences. Many people use the terms interchangeably. We can say that a hydrolat is the water recovered from the distilLATion of the Aromatic Essence, a hydrosol is the Aromatic Essence diSOLved in water. Floral waters include some of the water-soluble molecules of the plant, and have some of the properties of the Aromatic Essences.
The first batch of a floral water has a higher concentration than later ones. It is gentle, fragrant, and suitable for all ages. These refreshing body and environmental mists will soften your skin and delight your senses. Use as a spray or splash for facial cleansing or refreshing your body for a fresh, light scent. You can spray into the air to dispel stale air and freshen the home or office. Spray on the face to energize and to overcome fatigue and drowsiness or add to facial masks. We carry Neroli and Rose. The ones doing facials use them a lot.

Q:Tell us about your St. John’s Wort maceration?
MZ: We let the fresh flowers macerate in olive oil and put them in the Sun for two lunar months. It is totally natural and can be easily ingested or used for massage as it makes a wonderful carrier oil. A few drops mixed with honey or on a piece of bread will help you fight depression and give you an energy boost. It also helps with burns, cuts and bruises etc. If it hurts somewhere, go get your bottle of SJW. I recommend everyone to have some at home for emergencies, along with some Lavender and Canadian Tsuga.

Q: Let’s expand a bit here. I recently met a psychiatrist working with hard core patients and when asked if she uses St. John’s Wort for difficult cases, she looked straight in my eyes and said: “If I did, I would be out of a job.” Do you consider St. John’s Wort to be that effective?
MZ: Absolutely. Word of mouth is its best supporter. Many friends have tried SJW to fight depression and see good results and absolutely no side effects whatsoever. It is most effective if you are active after taking it, go for a walk, play, meet people. The worst is to sit home and watch TV. If you add some “Fearless II” blend or Joy or Rejoice, you should be able to conquer the world!

Q:What is Shea Butter for?
MZ: Karite Butter comes from the nuts of a Madagascar tree. It has natural vitamins A, D and E which rejuvenate, protect and smooth your skin. It also fights wrinkles and dry skin (lips) without leaving your skin oily. Shea Butter is also known to help eczema. Good for all skin types.  Since it has no smell, I created Karosa with Rose, Palmarosa etc.

Q:Do you use any mineral oil?
MZ: Absolutely none. All my Aromatic Essences are 100% pure and my neutral massage oil is made of sunflower, sesame, jojoba, olive, colza, borage & safflower oils, carefully selected for their therapeutic effects. There is no solvent, no mineral substance and no allergen.

Q:You have wonderful and pure, genuine essences, but how can we choose?
MZ: The ones I just mentioned: pure Lavender & Canadian Tsuga or blends like Fearless II, Self-Esteem . It depends of your needs: Sleep Well (or Energy), Breathing in winter (or Moskito/Allergy in summer). For feeling good: Beam of Light, Rejoice, Stress Out, Venus. To help focusing: Clear, Calming; energized: Energy, Adrenals. And don’t forget the maceration St. John’s Wort or its blends like Spinal Cleanse, Pain Ease, Childhood Trauma, Scar Tissue, Anxiety Out.

Finally, I create all my blends intuitively, but remember to be careful with BERGAMOT & CINNAMON as they BURN THE SKIN if you expose to the sun.

Q: Besides your wonderful blends of Breathing, Conifer and Sinus which help open the lungs, what do you recommend for COLDS?
MZ:COLDS, Congestion & Stuffed Nose: Externally: Put 1 drop of Ravintsara under your nose. If irritated, use some Karosa on the inside of your nose. Put 2 drops of Lavender and 2 drops of St. John’s Wort on a cotton ball and place in ear.
Internally: 1 drop of Peppermint in 1/2 teaspoon of honey, 6x a day for 7 days.

Diffuser: 80 drops of Balsam Fir, 80 drops of Ravintsara, 20 drops of White Pine and 10 drops of Hysopecum for 10 to 15 minutes, 4 times a day.
Or use our blend Virus out and Tiger.

MZ: Externally: Rub back and chest with 80 drops of Tsuga (canadian) 10 drops of Thyme and 5 drops of Thuya occidentalis, 2 to 3 times per day for 3 to 7 days. Rub a few drops of this mix in your hands, put them in front of your nose and breathe in.

Or use our blend Dragon and Immune up.

Q: What do you recommend to make candles?
MZ:The heat of the candle will destroy the Aromatic Essences. That is why candles are usually made with synthetic fragrances which we must avoid. I recommend only unscented candles. I prefer the use of an electric diffuser to purify and add a natural aroma to your surroundings.

Q: And for making soaps?
MZ:Traditionally Lavender  was used to perfume soap because of its cleansing effect. You can also use conifer oils like Balsam Fir and White Spruce, or even Lemon, Sage, especially Clary Sage. For an excellent result, Rose oil is incredible if you can afford it

Q: What are the essences good for teeth issues?
MZ:   If you suffer from pain, rub a drop of peppermint or clove; it will relieve the pain and disinfect. If you have sensitive gums put a drop of lemon or cinnamon on your finger and rub your gums. Or if they are inflamed, use a mouthwash with warm water and 1 or 2 drops of Clove, or Lemon. As they are antiseptic, the gums will heal more rapidly. If you want to strengthen your gums, use our Gum Tonic morning and evening.

Q: If Ravintsara is good for Viral hepatitis, is it also good for Hepatitis C. ?
MZ: Yes. Try also our VIRUS OUT. It also can help with a mononucleosis condition. Put a drop on the inside ankle or the wrist as it enters the blood immediately.

Q: And for cramps?
MZ: I recommend them to try Red Pine in a massage oil. Clary Sage for PMS issue is also advisable.

Q: And for Baby Teething?
MZ: Interestingly it is the same combination as our Pregnant , which carries Lavender and Chamomile.

Q.I  wanted to ask you about using the blends as perfumes.

I don’t normally wear anything, but I feel the magic quality of the oils and their ability to transform the space around me.” Rafael

A: Maybe you can try Consciousness, or Aura booster, or Light of God.

Q. I wanted to thank you again, the oils are sublime and so deeply transformative. I’m letting people know and they are thrilled… I hope that your New Year was tinted with joy. I’d like to purchase some more oils. They are truly awesome!! I am so fond of Alchemist Oils…  The oils are so powerful, it’s hard to say no to any of them! Do you have an oil that can help me break the addiction? Rafael

A. Try abundance, so you have enough to try them!

Q. I have been a dedicated fan of Mikael’s oils for a long time now.  I’ve recently been dealing with a lower back injury that is flairing up again and the oils do help a lot.  I also just started using DMSO (diluted with aloe) sparsely and it is amazing.  I was wondering about applying the essential oils to the skin that has been altered by DMSO for increased penetration.  Or are the oils too strong for deeply penetrating into the body?

A. Interesting question. I am familiar with DMSO and its properties. It can be used for many different things ranging from pain to cancer. The reason why it is so remarkable is due to the fact that it can transport both water based and oil based nutrients around the body and increases their absorption.  So it would only enhance the properties of the oils.

But I would initially start with a lower dosage of the oil as its effects would be greater due to this greater absorption.

It also depends what you are taking the DMSO for.  If you are able to elaborate on that a bit I could be more helpful  Best “ Doc

… for his old disc  herniation that flared up, he may want to try Scar Tissue, or Spinal cleanse, plus Stress Out.

Q. Would you have any recommendations for an oil blend that would be good to use to scent a home that is for sale and would be having an “open house” showing? Something would make the home enticing for prospective buyers? And would the Childhood trauma blend be good for our adopted daughter who spend her first months of life in a Russian orphanage? Thank you for any insights you may offer. Warmly, KJV Dec 2014

A. Customers have used Clear Spray and Abundance and it worked. You can also put some on teh brochures. And yes, Childhood Trauma would be perfect.
